1. General information only — not medical advice
The content on nouraide.com (the “Site”) — including articles, guides, recovery protocols, research summaries, videos, emails and social media content — is provided by Surgical Nutrition Group Pty Ltd (ABN 70 695 188 731), trading as Nouraide, for general information and education only.
Nothing on the Site is medical, dietetic, pharmaceutical or other professional health advice, and nothing on the Site is a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional who knows your individual circumstances. Information is general in nature and does not take into account your medical history, current medications, allergies, or the specifics of your surgery or condition.
• Always consult your surgeon, doctor, dietitian or pharmacist before starting any nutritional product or making changes to your diet — especially before or after surgery, if you have a medical condition, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you take medication (including blood-thinning medication).
• Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you have read on the Site.
• In an emergency, call 000 (Australia) or 111 (New Zealand), or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
2. Our products are foods, not medicines
Nouraide products are formulated foods. They are not therapeutic goods, medicines, medical devices or dietary treatments, and they have not been evaluated by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and they are not a substitute for a balanced diet, medical treatment, or the perioperative care prescribed by your treating team.
Statements about our products describe how ingredients support normal body functions and general wellbeing (for example, supporting tissue repair and recovery as part of a healthy diet). They are not claims that our products will treat or prevent any medical condition or surgical complication.
Individual responses to nutrition vary. Recovery from surgery depends on many factors — including the procedure itself, your overall health, your rehabilitation, and the care of your treating team — and no nutritional product can guarantee any particular outcome.
3. Allergies and directions for use
• Always read the label and follow the directions for use, including when to start and stop and the recommended serving.
• Check the full ingredient list before use if you have any food allergies or intolerances.
• Our products are not suitable for children under 15 years or pregnant women. Keep out of reach of children.
• Stop use and consult your doctor if you experience any adverse reaction.
4. About our founders and clinical involvement
Nouraide was founded by registered physiotherapists. Content on the Site authored by our founders is published in their capacity as founders of a food business, drawing on their professional experience — it is general education, not physiotherapy services or individual clinical advice, and reading it does not create a practitioner–patient relationship.
Where any of our founders recommends Nouraide products to a patient in their own clinical practice, they disclose their ownership interest in the company, in accordance with their professional obligations.
References to our products being “developed with healthcare professionals” describe how the products were formulated. They do not mean that any product is right for you — that is a decision for you and your own treating team.
5. Research summaries and third-party content
Our Education Hub summarises published scientific research about nutrition and recovery. These summaries reflect our reading of the cited studies at the time of publication. Nutrition science evolves, individual studies have limitations, and findings about ingredients in general do not necessarily apply to any specific product or person.
The Site may link to third-party websites, journals, tools or resources. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, and a link is not an endorsement.
6. Reviews and testimonials
Reviews and testimonials on the Site or our social media reflect the individual experiences of the people who provided them. Results vary from person to person, and testimonials are not a guarantee, promise or prediction of your own experience or recovery.
7. Accuracy and changes
We take reasonable care to keep Site content accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete, up to date or error-free. We may change, correct or remove content at any time without notice.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information on the Site. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. This Disclaimer should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
